The NSC value of an animal is calculated with its cumulative costs and an adjustment for sales and purchases.

For example a Rising 2 year sheep in 2018 may have a value calculated as below:

Rising 1 year 2017 $32.20 (a)
Rising 2 year 2018 $24.10 (b)

2018 NSC value $56.30 assuming no sales and purchases of stock during this period.

The 2018 National Average Market values are expected to be released in May 2018.

The livestock values produced above are a duplication of information released by the Commissioner of Inland Revenue.
